I've worked with Natasja extensively as part of the European HIV Nursing Network (EHNN), an informal grouping of nurses across the European region who work in the HIV sector. Natasja is a gregarious, highly organised, and well connected health practitioner with extensive insights into the development and maintenance of high quality care for people living with or affected by HIV. She was central to the planning of our most recent EHNN conferences, and continues to explore ways to develop stronger connections between HIV nurses across Europe, and especially the East.

Working with Natasja is a joy. She is enthusiastic, involved and can organize very well. Natasja has meant a lot to the professional group of nursing HIV consultants during her time on the board. She has put HIV stigma on the map, has always paid attention to the quality of HIV care and she has campaigned for the position of nurses and nurse practitioners in HIV care. Several times he has organized large events that required a lot of consultation and planning and it was always a great success. Collaboration is central to her, with patients, healthcare providers and other stakeholders. This, in combination with her energy, cheerfulness and commitment, means that she has achieved a lot, for patients but also for her colleagues.

Natasja's energy is next-level! We crushed it together on the Hello Gorgeous project, and she's been a total rockstar ever since. Her positivity and willingness to help are contagious, and she seriously inspires me to go after my goals. Sending good vibes for her next adventure!

Natasja is always straightforward, driven, and works goal-oriented. I have experienced how, with her heart on her sleeve, she always puts the interests of the people she works for first and attaches great importance to empathy.

Natasja is a nurse of an exceptional caliber. Her dedication to her work and her patients is second to none. Her in-depth knowledge of HIV, her empathy and never ending positive approach make her a valuable asset to any team and to any meeting. Working with Natasja was a pleasant experience that contributed to the provision of high-quality information for people with HIV at the Volle Maan meetings in which Natasja participated.

Natasja is a healthcare professional who completely understands what “patient-centeredness” means. She naturally bridges gaps between professionals and people in care while maintaining her professionalism and expertise. Natasja is a pleasure to work with and seems to learn as much from colleagues as we, in turn, learn from her.

Natasja is an extremely driven and committed person. She approaches her work and others with understanding and empathy. She has insight, sees opportunities, listens well and is very accessible. She also has the necessary critical eye and can convey this in a nuanced way that creates constructive dialogue. I have always enjoyed working with Natasja and will continue to do so.

Natasja is fantastic to work with, she is a valuable addition to the team with strong expertise. Matters are arranged quickly, independently and well when NVHC is involved.

My appreciation for Natasja is enormous! As an HIV nurse, she has a good eye for what someone with HIV needs for (peer) support. She is one of the few to see how informal care (for and by people with HIV) can encourage someone to live with HIV shamelessly. She knows very well how crippling internalized stigma can be on people's quality of life. She is very pleasant and welcoming in her dealings. Never condescending, always curious about what motivates the other person. She is also a real ally for people with HIV. In short: I'm a fan!
